Native american artifacts and beadwork have always been something i wanted to figure out how to pull into a concept and when studio/ridefourever/Dillon Lyon and i started talking about doing something based on the kansas city scout statue, i knew it was the chance to do it. When I concept, pulling inspiration from my past is key to my process, growing up i was huge into surfing and matt archbold was definitely my favorite, for his style on and off his board so i wanted somehow to pull inspiration from some of his native tattoo work.
